How it works
How Swancomm works
We help you work out what you need, then arrange a free quote with our installation partner and help you understand it. You never pay us a cent.
Step by step
1. Tell us about your home
Fill in our short form or give us a call. We'll ask about your home, your roof, your power bills and what you're hoping for, whether that's lower bills, backup power or getting ready for an electric car. A recent electricity bill helps a lot.
2. We work out what suits you
We look at how much power you use and when, and talk through whether solar, a battery or both makes sense for you. Sometimes the honest answer is that something isn't worth it yet, and we'll tell you.
3. We arrange your free quote
We pass your details to our installation partner, a licensed, SAA-accredited installer. They assess your home and prepare a written quote.
4. We help you understand it
We go through the quote with you in plain English: what equipment you're getting, the warranties, the rebates applied and what happens on installation day.
5. You decide
If you're happy, you sign your contract directly with our partner. They install your system, lodge the rebate paperwork and arrange your connection to the grid. We stay in touch to make sure everything goes smoothly. If you'd rather not go ahead, that's fine.
Our installation partner
We work with one installation partner, chosen for the quality of their work. They:
- hold a current NSW electrical contractor licence
- are accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA), with battery endorsement for battery work, which is required for the federal rebates
- use panels, inverters and batteries on the Clean Energy Council's approved product lists
- provide written quotes and a written workmanship warranty
Their business name and licence number are on your quote and contract.
How we're paid
Our service is free for you. When you go ahead with our installation partner, they pay Swancomm a referral fee. We don't charge you anything, whether or not you go ahead.
We refer customers to one installer only. We don't compare quotes across the market. If you'd like to compare, you're welcome to get other quotes yourself.
What we don't do
Swancomm is a referral service, not an installer. We don't carry out any electrical or installation work, and we don't sell you the equipment. Your quote, contract, installation, workmanship warranty and after-sales service are with our installation partner, and the product warranties come from the manufacturers. If something goes wrong, contact the installer first. We're always happy to help you follow it up.
Questions about how we work
Is the advice really free?
Yes. You never pay Swancomm anything. When you go ahead with our installation partner, they pay us a referral fee.
Who installs my system?
Our installation partner, an independent business. Swancomm doesn't carry out any electrical or installation work. Your quote, contract, installation and workmanship warranty are all with our partner.
